Another great weekend on the links for the BJGA. This week we kicked off our monthly medal series and every division looks like it will be tight this season.

Kenny Leseur was crusing for the first 14 holes, sitting at three under (-3) on the 15th tee. The closing stretch did him in, however, with bogeys on 15 and 17 and a shot that rhymed with "thank" from the tee on 18 leading to a double bogey and a round of +1, 71. In seasons past that may have been enough for an emphatic win, but Adam Perry shot the lowest round of his life, parring the last for a +4 round of 74. Newcomer Wes Grier finished his first BJGA round with 80 and Samson Douglas felt the pain of three bad holes with a score of 89.

The white tee group had a bit of a day to forget, finding all the spots around Ocean View that more seasoned players know to avoid. Kian Mooney led the way with Jack Thorpe and Ethan Sousa following.

The red tee group saw some new faces this week, most notably Callum MacFarlane jumping up from the BJGA tees last week, jumping immediately into a very respectable 2nd place. He couldn't quite catch the younger but more experienced Oliver Betschart, taking the division by a single shot with a round of 51. MacFarlane was second with 52 and Jayden Williams-Woodley was just two shots behind in third.

The BJGA tees was the biggest group this week, even with a couple of late withdrawals due to illness and injury. Jamie MacFarlane led the way with a 6 hole score of 38 in this tight group with the top four separated by a shot apiece. Rylan Cundliffe was back in action after the summer taking second with a round of 39, closely followed by Tyler Furtado (40) and Ethan McApline (41).
